7 Best Health Blogs to Follow

Yoni Freedhoff, M.D., director of the Bariatric Medical Institute, doesn’t let anything slide on Weighty Matters. He calls out the food industry for uninviting him to a talk and Beyoncé for being Pepsi’s spokeswoman, decodes the latest confusing studies, and responds to readers who challenge him. But he doesn’t just expose the truth about everything related to obesity and healthy eating. He also shares weekly funny videos and posts about the latest health news.

2. Kris Carr

I absolutely love Kris Carr. You may know her as the Crazy, Sexy, Cancer woman. Her blog is full of health related articles, recipes, work/life balance, beauty and much more.

3. Dr. Oz

Yes, Dr. Oz. He has hundreds and hundreds of articles about all things health and his panel of experts provide tremendous insights into all things health. You’ll get sidetracked by all the good information on his site… like this article.  You’re welcome.

4. Mira Dessy

Mira is a Certified Nutrition Expert passionate about sharing what’s really in our food. She has really terrific articles about gluten, allergies, sensitivities, essential oils and more. She links to another great site where you can download a free allergy buddy sheet. Her book, The Pantry Principle, is AHmazing.

If you want to know exactly what’s lurking in the packaged food you eat, what chemicals are used to try to convince you that fake food is “real” — or if you just want the skinny on how to cook with fabulous fats, you cannot afford to overlook this book!  A must-read for all who care about what goes into their own and their family’s bodies.  And I hope that means everyone!

The Whole Food Guide for Breast Cancer Survivors

5. Chris Kresser

Chris Kresser has been studying and teaching alternative medicine for more than 15 years. He’s also the author of best-selling novel Your Personal Paleo Code and has appeared in publications like The Huffington Post and TIME. So just what is it that makes Kresser so freakin’ awesome? We love that he tackles heavily debated topics (like whether coffee is good for you) and believes that “there’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to diet.” Kresser is all about empowering you to make healthier choices.

6. Ty Bollinger

Ty has dedicated his life to educating people about the truth about cancer from all perspectives. I love everything Ty is doing and have spent countless hours on his site navigating everything from foods, drinks, oils, essential oils, herbs, environmental factors of cancer and more.

7. Trudy Scott

The host of the Anxiety Summit, Trudy Scott, Food Mood Expert and Nutritionist, author of The Antianxiety Food Solution recently closed the Anxiety Summit Season 4. Trudy writes about all things hormones, anxiety, depression, overall mental health, pain, and much more. She is a wealth of information.

Bonus tip. I want to give a shout out to Erran and Kim Gipson. They own Get Fit From Within. Their blog is dedicated to all things fitness, food and spirit. I love what they are doing and encourage you to check them out.
