52 Weeks of Happiness: Week 10 – Do you feel lucky?
Welcome to the 52 lists for happiness: weekly journaling for inspiration and positivity by Morrea Seal. What I really like about this particular prompt is there are so many ways that I feel lucky and fortunate. Getting into feeling lucky is such a great way to bring more of that to you. Here’s my video describing all the ways I feel lucky.
Ways I feel lucky!
The first is getting to see my kids every single day. I am so blessed and feel so fortunate that I get to be with my kids everyday.
The second is my grandphew Jackson. He is 11 months old. I think the most I’ve gone without seeing him is three weeks at most. He is just such a sweet sweet sweet boy. I just love him to pieces.
The next way I feel really lucky is all the people in my network that share so generously of their time and talents. It makes a difference and it means the world to me.
The next are pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters that I find. Every time I see a coin, I’ll pick it up and say “Thank you.”
I am oh so thankful for free hair samples, free food samples, coupons and grocery savings.
I’m really thankful that I always seem to be at the right place at the right time. I always get where I need to get in the perfect divine timing. Seriously. Anywhere we’ve ever gone, people will come after us and there will be this really long line. One time we went on a vacation with family friends and us they said, “Oh my gosh. You’re lucky. We need to hold onto the luck and take you with us everywhere because you always get places in exactly the perfect time.” BOOM!
Next would be my infinite receiving family. They make me smile. They help me feel safe, supported, loved, and I just love every single IR sister to pieces. I’m also really thankful for my VIB group with Amethyst for my LBBB and bad ass brazen entrepreneurs with Jen. I am thankful for the breakthrough coaching program with Sean. There’s just so many people to be grateful for.
My friends. My friends always seem to know what I need. I just love my closest friends. Because I traveled so much growing up as an USAF brat, I didn’t have a whole lot of friends. I kept to myself a lot. Some people have dozens or hundreds of really close friends. I have a lot of friends. I have a ton of acquaintances, but the really, really close friends, this is a solid one hand!
Living in Arizona, I’m also really thankful for air conditioning. I know that might sound little, but it’s a big deal. I also love the freedom. My freedom. So many people in the world don’t have freedom. Whatever you want to mean, that means for you. I am so incredibly thankful that I really do live among the land of the free and the home of the brave, and that I can do whatever I want to do. I think sometimes we take things like that for granted.
I feel super lucky for perfect parking spots. I always get perfect parking spots. Always.
I feel lucky because I got 150 free printed photos from Shutterfly. I felt really fortunate that I was able to get 4×6’s of all our family pictures for free.
I am really lucky because I get free medication that I need weekly for a immunoglobulin deficiency. The medication is extremely expensive (to the tune of over $10K a month) and I get that for free.
These are my top 12 ways I feel lucky! My take action for you this week is to create luck for other people.
It’s Your Turn
As you read this, think about ways that you have felt lucky. Maybe you found a dime on the ground. Maybe you found a gift card that you hadn’t used. Or a restaurant gift certificate. Or maybe someone gifted you something. Whatever it is, take time this week and hide something. Hide a crystal. Hide a dime. Hide some coins. Hide a dollar bill. Hide something for somebody else. Know that you are bringing luck to somebody else this week. I would love to know what it is that you leave for other people so that other people feel lucky. I’d love to know how you feel lucky, too!
